By the 1890s the large congregation of Trinity ChapelÌýneeded a new, largerÌýbuilding and thisÌýfine Victorian church, designed by architect Sir Robert Rowand Anderson, was built and consecrated in 1891
Anderson also encased the attractive Hamilton two-manual pipe organ which wasÌýoriginally built in 1830ÌýandÌýpredatedÌýeven the original Trinity Chapel.ÌýThe organ was moved and rebuilt into the new church between 1891-1894. The font was also brought from the old chapel to the new church.
