By the 1890s the large congregation of Trinity Chapel听needed a new, larger听building and this听fine Victorian church, designed by architect Sir Robert Rowand Anderson, was built and consecrated in 1891
Anderson also encased the attractive Hamilton two-manual pipe organ which was听originally built in 1830听and听predated听even the original Trinity Chapel.听The organ was moved and rebuilt into the new church between 1891-1894. The font was also brought from the old chapel to the new church.
