New for 2024: Dollar ShopsÌýlooks at how the 'shopscape' of the town has changed over the years. Some shops, such as the present Dollar Deli, have had many owners while always remaining a grocery store; others have survived but had a number of different uses. Many have disappeared completely; there were over forty shops in the 1950s, far more than there are today. This fascinating exhibition includes many photographs and stories about the shops and the people who owned and worked in them.Ìý
